⚽ FAIRPLAY GUIDE

How does FairPlay work?

Balanced teams start with fair ratings. FairPlay ranks players, divides them into skill tiers, assigns one player from each tier to every team, and randomly chooses among balanced combinations.

01

Join the group

The organizer shares one WhatsApp link. Each player enters their name and phone number. Once everyone has joined, the organizer opens ratings.

02

Rate other players

Rate others from 1 to 10 in half-point increments. Choose one overall score or five attributes: pace, shooting, ball control and passing, defending, and physicality. You never rate yourself.

03

Don't know a player? Skip

Select “I don’t know this player”. It completes your response without adding a score. You can update ratings while the round is open.

04

Remove extreme ratings

FairPlay finds the median for each player. Ratings more than 3.5 points from the median are excluded when calculating their final average.

05

Create balanced teams

Players attending that week are ranked and divided into tiers. For three teams of four, there are four tiers of three, with one player per tier on each team. The system balances total scores and randomly chooses from good combinations.

06

Sign up and draw teams

Mark your attendance each week. If the game is full, the organizer can use last-to-register substitutes, rotation, or manual selection. Goalkeeper order can be shuffled separately.

07

Keep ratings private

Only the organizer can see individual ratings. Once the round is closed and complete, they may publish names and final weighted scores only. Ratings remain available for future games.

Note: entering a name and phone number is not SMS verification. In open mode, always choose your own player identity.
